Description:

KLA-Tencor is looking for a Senior mechanical design engineer who will be responsible for mechanical design of wafer and reticle handling platforms. Will be responsible for complete design process, including requirements specification, feasibility studies, analysis and FEA modeling, conceptual and detailed design using ProE, detail drawings, design review presentations, procurement of prototype parts, prototype testing, system integration, and handoff to manufacturing. Will work closely with customer?s engineering team with local and off-shore design support. Will also be working closely with off-shore suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability. Will take the project from design concept, thru prototype and testing, to manufacturing build, and will document and address all issues thru the product phases.
Must Have:
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of capital equipment design experience.
Proficient with ProEngineer, including sheetmetal. 3 years + experience.
Able to perform engineering analysis of designs to verify performance.
Able to lead small design team with minimal supervision.
Have strong communication/presentation skills.

Preferred:
Experience in semiconductor capital equipment design
Proficient with Pro-Intralink
Working knowledge of design best practices for mini-environment airflow
Able to perform vibration analysis
Remote communication/presentation skills (Webex, NetMeeting, Instant Messaging)
